EMPUUE THEATRE. "THE MAN WHO STAYED AT HOME" TO-MORROW. The "star" attraction at the Empire Theatre to-morrow should prove one of the most entertaining films that has been skowil in New Plymouth for a long time past. It is "The Man Who Stayed at Home," a picture adaptation of the well-known play of the same name, and it is aaid that excellent as the play was, the movie production is considerably more entertaining, besides giving many opportunities for a number of sensational spectacular effects. The naval scenes, wl.ich were specially photographed by permission of the Admiralty are said to be a special attraction of the photo-play. The well-known English actor, Denis Eadie, takes - the • leading role, while Alma Taylor, another artist of the first rank has been given an opportunity to demonstrate her' rare attainments. Pjrices of admission will be Is Od and lsi (plus tax), and reserves at Collier's are Is Cd.

EVERYBODY'S. GERALDINE FARRAR IN "THE TURN OF THE WHEEL." Geraldine'Farrar is popular with large audiences at Everybody's where she is appearing for the last time to-night in "The Turn of the Wheel," the story of an honest American who was cheated out of a huge fortune by a dishonest croupier on the roulette table in the great Casino. In this production Miss Farrar is at her best, and provides entertainment of the very best. "The Turn of the Wheel" is claimed to be one of the best productions of the year. A beautiful girl lends the American 500 francs. He breaks the bank. An instant later he and the girl he had never seen before are arrested for murder and have a series of strange and thrilling adventures before being released. Another episode of "The House of Hate" also shows on this programme. THE PEOPLE'S. ALICE JOYCE TO-NIGHT. "The Triumph of the Weak" comes first on a programme of interesting films at the People's Theatre. The important role in the picture is l in the capable hands of Miss Alice Joyce, who commands the interest of her audiences during the whole play. The part she plays is that of a young woman who marries and is afraid to tell her husband that she is an escaped convict. The balance of the programme is made up of a gazette, comedy and trave'log. On Saturday Douglas Fairbanks appears in his big new Artcrait success, "Mr Fixit." *
