Clemenceau sent a wireless message to the Hungarian Government ordering the cessation of hostilities against the Czecho-Slovaks, otherwise the Allies would compel a cessation. A reply was required within 48 hours.

REPORTED DEFEAT OF CZECHOSLOVAKS. Vienna, June 9. The Hungarians claim that they defeated the Czecho-Slovaks in a two-day battle, capturing Kaschau.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
