GREEN ISLAND MINERS' DISPUTE-
By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Dunedin, Last Night. In connection with the Green Island miners' dispute a fresh offer, involving a concession in the matter of filling one kind of coal, was made to the men today by the proprietors, and there appears to be some ground for the assumption that this may form the basis of an early settlement. The men considered the owners' proposals at a special pieeting to-night, and decided they were not acceptable in their present form. Another meeting will be held on Tuesday night to further consider the matter.
