AN IMPERIAL GIFT.

In the Assembly, Mr. Mentz communicated a cablegram from the Secretary of State announcing the Imperial gift of aeroplanes not exceeding one hundred in number to any Dominion requiring the machines, the object being to assist the Dominions in establishing aerial forces, thereby developing the defence of the Empire by air.—Reuter.
