OPENS TO-MORROW.

The Winter Show will be officially opened at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow afternoon.

Stewards will be in attendance at the Coronation Hall this evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to receive any exhibits that tnay coma in, Exhibitors arc reminded that all exhibits must be in their places by 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, excepting, of course, poultry, children's pets, and cats, which must be in by 9 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Excellent cntv : es in all classes have been received, r =kl patrons are assured of a great exhibition of dairy produce, garden vegetables, field roots, honey, home industries, fancy work, machinery in motion, and numerous other things of interest and of educational value.

The poultry show, which commences on Thursday, is to be, undoubtedly, the largest ever held in New Plymouth. Birds from all over the North Island will be seen in competition, for New Plymouth lias this year been favored with the New Zealand Leghorn Club's special prize competitions and some of the North Island Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association's championships. Fanciers of poultry will have a great time at the chow this year.

The New Plymouth Citizens' Band has been engaged to play each night. The ladies' committee will attend to the caterin;; arrangements, and will also run a jumble stall. The society, which is now on the move forward, deserves the support of both town and country residents, which support we have no doubt will be forthcoming. Then roll up to the show yourself on either, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday next, and see what Taranaki can produce. You will be agreeably surprised, and your faith in your own town on<T country will increase. The progress of our shows marks the progress of Taranaki Let "see you at the Winter Show" be your slogan lor this week.
