DISLOYALISTS.
CONDEMNED BY HON. W. D. S. MACDONALD.
Strong condemnation of the action of disloyalists in the Dominion was expressed by tho Hon. W. D. 8. MacDonald, Minister of Agriculture, in the course of his speech at the dinner to the delegates to the Wellington Provincial Fanners' Union Conference on Tuesday night (the Dominion reports). "Scon there will be a general election," said Mr. Mac Donald. "I don't care whether a man is Labor, Liberal, or Reform—l don't care so long as he is a true, stout, and loyal Britisher. There has been an insidious attempt to secure power by certain seditionmongers in this country, men who never lifted a hand to lielo to win the war, men win didn't care twopence for this country, who did everything they possibly could to prevent the men of this country going to tl.e front. I want to say that during the coming year, whenever the election takes place, that the disloyal man, the seditionmonger, the man with a biased brain, prejudiced mind, and poisoned tongue, and the disloyalist should lisa'c no hearing in this country." (Loud applause and cheers.) Tho flower of a whole generation of men had been poured into the furnace of war from all over the Brit is n Empire, as well as from New Zealand, and they did not want the work of those boys who were sleeping their last sleep on foreign sail, those who had given a' full measure of devotion for King, country and liberty with their lives, to be deprecated by any sedition-monger whe came from any other country. "If any man thinks another country better than his own," the Minister continued, "the sooner we see bim off the coast the better—a.Kd you don't want to wish him 'Godspeed.' (Laughter and applause.) Tnat is how I feel."
