MALE CHOIR CONCERT.

There was another large audience at tlie Good Templar Hall last night, when the New Plymouth Male Choir gave the Beooiid performance of their final concert for the present season. The proceedings were marked by more enthusiasm than on the first night. The choir items were the same as on the previous evening, and for encores they sang "The Battle Prayer" and Gounod's "Soldiers' Chorus" from "Faust." Of the assisting artists. Madame John-stone-Topliss was again the star performer. .It was a disappointment to the audience that she was not able to sing the'"Mad SJeenc" from "Lucia di Laminermoor," as advertised, but, owing to the short time available it was not found possible to got the requisite amount of rehearsal with the flute obligate. Madame Topliss received another excellent reception, and her singing was a treat such as i:i seldom to be had in Now Plymouth.
