ACTION AGAINST NEWSPAPER.
THE GRIERSON CASK, l!y Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington. List Ninht. The hearing of the libel action, Lieut. Grierson v. the Daily Telegraph Co., Napier, has been adjourned until the August sittings. At the Supreme Court, in Napier, to-day, Mr. Justice Hosking heard the application by Sir John Findlay for defendant company for security for costs, in view of the fact that Grierson, with his wife, had left New Zealand for Englaud, and there was no certainty of his return, Miv T. Neave, for plaintiff, explained that Grierson was still a member of the. New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and on temporary leave. He was unable to say definitely whan Grierson would return to New Zealand, but pointed out that the publication of the words complained of was admitted, and it ought not to be necessary to call him at the trial.
