The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hawera branch, report as follows: At Kakaramea, on Monday, May 20, we had a small yarding which sold at the following rates: Fat cows, £lO 12s to £ll 9s; forward cows, £8 17s to £9 8s; store cows, £7 to £ T 17s; boners, £3 to £4 7s; weaners, mixed sexes, £1 12s Cd; 2%-year springing helfer3, £ll 10s to £l3; f.m. wethers, £1 Is 2d. Implements and sundries on account of Mr John Dwyer sold at full market rates. At Eltham on Wednesday, 28th Inst., we had a good average yarding, which sold well at 'he following prices: Fat cows, £lO 10s to £l2; forward cows, £8 to £9 10s; store cows, £6 163 to £7 8s; boilers, £3 5s to £5; 18 to 20months empty heifers, £4 7s; forward conditioned empty heifers, £7 2s £7 14s; weaners, £2 ss; Jersey cross weaner heifers, £2 17s; 2%-year Jersey and Holsteln in-calf heifers, £9 to £lO 10s; 18 to 20-months Jersey and Holateln in-calf heifers (low conditioned), £5 5s to £6 12s 6(1; 2, 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 18s; empty ewes, 3s 3d; store lambs, 5s 6d to Bs. At Hawera on Thursday, 29th Inst., cattle and sheep were penned in average numbers, and sold well at the following prices: Heavy weight cows, £l4 to £l4 15s; fat cows, £lO Is to £ll 10s; forward cows, £8 5s to £9 13s; store cows, £7 9s to £7 }ss 6d; boners, £S 15s to £5 ss; 3%-year forward bullocks, £l2 4s; 20-months steers, £4 14s Sd-; weaner bulls, £2 ss; empty 18 to 20-months heifers, £3 Is; fat ewes, 26s 4d; 4 and 0-toc.th ewes, £1; f.m. ewes, 7s 6d (poor condition).
