LADIES' TOURNAMENT. The ladles' hockey tournament at Hawera yesterday secured an entry of seven teams, and the play throughout was always Interesting. ' THIBD BOUND. Stratford 1 v. Hawera Town 0. New Plymouth 0 v. Kaponga 0. Hawera "A" 1. v. Eltham 0. Hawera "B"'as bye. FOUBTH ROUND. Hawera Towm 3 v Hawera. "B" 0. Stratford 1 v:. Eltham O. Hawera "A"' 1 v. Kaponga 0. New Plymouth & bye. FIPTH: BOUND. Hawera* Town 1 v. New Plymouth 0. | Stratford 0 v. Hawera "A" 0. Other games were: ' Stratford 1 v. New Plymouth 0. Hawera "B" 1 v. New Plymouth 1. The points scored were: Stratford, 11; Hawera "A" 8; Hawera Technical College "B" 6; Eltham and Kaponga, 5 each. Stratford won the cup outright, and holds tho shield for the I year. During the afternoon a girls' race (100 yards)' was decided. There were 10 entries, and a i close flnl3h ended In Eileen Petersen (Hawera "A") winning the sliver medal, Hazel Andrews (New Plymouth) securing second prize (hockey stick). MEN-8 TOURNAMENT.
