DRUNK IN CHARGE OF A VEHICLE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Niglit. In the Magistrate's Court to-day Arthur Vincent pleaded guilty to a charge of being drunk while driving a horte and cart on the Riccarton Road rind driving on the same road at night without a light. Sub-inspector Mullaney said that about si week ago defendant had been fined £lO for being in charge of' a horse and cart while drunk. The Magistrate (Mr. S. E. McCarthy): It appears to me that you arc determined to kill somebody. Yon are a menace to the travelling public. You will be sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
