THE DIVISION OP TURKEY. ByTelegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Paris, May 18, Le Temps denies that the Conference las actually decided to divide Turkey into several zones. The Big Four however, have considered several proposals: First, the United States receiving a mandate over Constantinople and Armenia; second, Greece taking the coastal region, having Smyrna as the principal [centre. —Aus.-N.Z. A third proposal is that Italy administer Southern Anatolia; and a fourth that Northern Anatolia, including Broussa and Angora, form a Turkish State whose independence France will under; take to safeguard.
