Thero was a small yarding of sheep and fair entries in other departments except store cattle and pigs, in which very few were ottered. Fat lambs and fat sheep advanced a further. Is and Is (id per head. Prime fat cattio were also firmer, but much of tho yarding was unfinished. Thero was little or no change ill other classes of stock, except vealers, which were dearer. Stove sheep: .Two-tooth ewes to 22s 2d, 4, 6 a'nd S-tootb ewes 21a lOd to 25s lOd, soundmouth ewes 17s 4d to 17s lid, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 245, 4 and G-tootli wethers 25s 4d, sound-mouth wethers 21s, ewe lambs 17s 6d, mixed sex lamba 15s ?d, wether lambs 13s Id to 15s 2d. Fat lambs: Extra prime to 345, prime 29s to 32s Cd, medium lambs 23s to 28s fid, lighter iambs 17s 3d to 22s (Id. Fat sheep: Extra prime wethers 445, prime wethers 34s Gd to 41s, medium wethers 30s to 34s Cd, lighter wethers 24s Gd to 29s 6d, extra prime ewes 395, prime ewes 31s to 34s 6d, medium ewes 23s Cd to 30s 6d, lighter ewes 15s to 235. Fat cattle: Extra prime stores to £25 7s Gd, prime stores £l4 15s to £l9 ss, ordinary stores £9 17s Gd to £l4, extra prime heifers to £ls 7s Gd, prime lielfers £9 15s to £l4 sa, ordinary heifers £5 10s to £9 15s, prime cows £lO 5s to £ls 12s Gd, ordinary cows £5 10s to £lO Is, vealers (runners) £5 9s to £7 7s, good yealers £3 8s to £5, fa'r voalers £2 to £2 19s, small and inferior sorts £3 to I£l lCs, dairy cows £7 to £l7 ss. Pigs: Choppers £G to £8 2s, baconers £4 5s to £6 l!fs, equal to per lb; porkers £ 1 7s to £3 10s, equal to 10 %d per lb. BURNSIDE STOCK SALE. Dunedin, May 28. At Burnstde 230 fat cattle were yarded, including several pens of prime show bullocks, which realised £26 to £3l ss. Prime to medium sorts were firm at late rates. Prime £l9 to £22, medium to good £ls to £l7 10s, lighter £l3 to £l4 10s, best cows and heifers £l3 10s to £ls, medium to good £ll 10s to £l2 10s,. others £9 10s upwards. The fat sheep penned numbered 35G9, chiefly of medium quality. A number of pens of extra prime show sheep met with keen competition. Prime quality were firmer to the extent of Is Gil to 2s Gd per llead, while medium and Inferior realised late' rates. Prime wether 3 42s to 495, extra 55s to G7s Gd, medium to good 30s to 355, best ewes 34s to 395, extra prime 150s 3d to 595, medium to good 24s to 275, others 20s upwards. There were 1471 lambs .penned. Competition was keen, prices showing an increase on late values. Extra prime heavy, suitable for show purposes, sold up to 555. A medium yarding of fat pigs and a small entry of stores were cleared at late rates.
