Tenacious, assisted by Meltchikoff, galloped a mile usefully, while Swastika and Hibernian and Oakley. and .Tacarauda and Johnny Paul, alone, did good schooling woik, Art and Euripos fltoithed together,, three lengths ahead of Kauri King, over five hurdles, Paraoa. when a few lengths behind, falling at. the fourth hurdle. Deerey was in the saddle, but neither horse nor rider was any the worse. Munster started well behind the quartette, and was about the RamP 1 distance behind at the finish. Cynic and Garry Owen were together, two lengths; in front of Master Lupin, with Ditto fourth and Keystone well back. This was the fastest round. The light weights ridin" Monopole and Peneton led Otara over the same distance, but the last-named finished well m a useful bout. Bore and Grafton Tot jumped the water, the stone wall, and the brush fence. Sir Fisher, who iy sore, was an absentee from the tracks.
