WANGANUI SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day ,an elderly man named Neil McNeill was convicted of common assault at Hawera, and sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment. INVERCARGILL SESSIONS. Invercargill, Last Night.
At the Supreme Court sittings Nathaniel Charles Bates, found guilty of indecent assault on a married woman, was fined £l3 and ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution. Thomas Watson McGill was acquittal on a charge of carnal knowledge of a gii'l under sixteen.
