RIFLE SHOOTING.
The fourth competition for the New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club's championship took place on the Rewa Rowa range on Thursday and Saturday last. Scores as follow: 800 900 Tl. Dep. President Ramßon ,44 42 S6 Hon. Member .Tarvis 43 38 81 Rifleman Blnnchett 35 44 79 Rifleman Christiansen 38 41 79 Rifleman Reed 44 34 78 Rifleman Moore 38 33 71 Remainder below TO. The shooting this week will be practice for seniors at 300, 500 and 600 yards, and for juniors at 300 and 500 yards. The local rifle club is the first on the list of challengers for the Rifle Club's Challenge Shield, and are arranging for a match to be fired against the holders, the Eawera Rifle Club, at Hawera on June 12.
