The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga at 5.30 a.m. yesterday .morning, and berthed at/ daylight. She left on her return voyage last evening, and is due to arrive here again fcom Onehunga ' on Friday. THE KIA OKA. The big Home liner arrived in the roadstead at 4.30 yesterday afternoon, and Is expected to be berthed at .the breakwater this morning, when she will commence loading frozen, meat, tallow. etc ,THE KARtT. The little coastal vessel Kara uxirad from Wellington at 12.45 p.m. yesterday. She met the full force of. the gale, and had to ;eek Bhelter In Pelorus Sound. It la expected she will complete her discharge and leave again to-day. i

Owing probably to meeting the fall foxes' of the southerly gale the Bakanoa, from Auckland, had not been signalled early last night, ana may be expected at any hour. The Paritutti, which has been on the Wellington slip for several days, undergoing a thorough overhaul, is expected to be brought oil to-day or Thursday. I SHIPBUILDING IN AMERICA. Further particulars are now available In respect of tonnage put Into the water by American yards during the seven months ended January 21 last. The vessels constructed and registered in the shipbuilding centres during this per*od aggregated 1149, of 1,996,859 gross tons, with an additional output of 48 wooden vessels measuring 110,288 gross ton 3, built, for foreign countries, mainly for France. During the 12 months ended with January last tbe total of merchant shipping built and registered aggregated 1957, of 2,920,832 gross tons. THE MARAMA. A cable from London states that the Marama will sail in June with 500 New Zealand convalescents, thus clearing out the New Zealand hospital at Walton. ' LONDON—AUSTRALIA PASSENGER SERVICE.
