THE RIMUTAKA LINE.

DEVIATION URGED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Farmers' Union passed a resolu-, tion that the necessity for the deviation of the Rimutaka incline be brought before the Minister for Railways as a work which should immediately be taken in hand. While the deviation is of vital interest to the Wairarapa and the bush district, it is also of provincial importance, as it will enable a larger portion of the Hawke's Bay traffic being sent via the Wairarapa, and thus relieve the congestion on the Manawatu line.
