CITIZENS' BAND.

ANNUAL REPORT. The report of the New Plymouth Citizens' Band, which is to be presented to tiie annual meeting of the committee at the Soldiers' Club to-7iight, states, inter alia, that the hand paraded no less than SI times.', which eclipses all previous records. Thanks is expressed for substantial assistance from a number of people throughout the year, amongst whom were the Taranakt Jockey Club, Mcsyrs T. Hughes, P. A. Coleman, P. , Brooks, Boon Bros., Sash and Door Coy., ,H. Brown and Co., East End Reserve, •Committee, Taranaki Amusements, Ltd., >T. H. Quilliaiu, R. Beimoch, W. Home, Humphries and Stockman (Inglewood),, ,A. J. Tunbridge (auditor), the proprietors of the two local newspapers, and to the committeemen. The event of the. year way the erection and occupation of the new band room, on which there was now owing only about £230. Thanks is ■also expressed for the faithful services of the bandsmen, and appreciation of the work of the conductor (Mr. F. W. G. McLeod), and also fbr the work of the ,secretary of the committee (Mr. H. R. Cattley) and: the president (Mr. W. X Penn-),..
