By Telegraph.—Press Association,

Wellington, Last Night.

Dr. MacLaurin, Chief Inspector of Explosives, has circularised the local bodies setting forth the precautions that should be used to prevent fires and accidents in the course of the fireworks displays likely to take place during the peace celebrations. Dr. MacLaurin recommands that displays should take place in open spaces away from buildings, and the crowds kept at a safe distance. Rockets should be set at such an angle that burning sticks falling will do no harm.
