Owing to a strike of dairy farmers in Cornwall against the official prices the local food committee issued notices demanding delivery, otherwise the milk would be requisitioned. Received May 23, 1 a.m. London, May 20. An explosion of shells in a workshop at Elswiek destroyed the building. Six pernons are missing. Many were injured.—Times Service. NAURU ISLAND. Received May 23, 12.5 a,m. London, May 21. Details in connection witb Nanru Island are not finally settled, but it is likely to be so in a few days ia a manner satisfactory to all parties.
