AN ADVENTUROUS BOY.
POLICE SEEKING HIS PARENTS. Auckland, May 14. A boy aged about twelve years is at present at the Salvation Army Home, while the police are endeavoring to locate his parents. As far as can be gathered, the lad comes from Christchurch. He was given money by his mother to purchase some boots, but, desiring to see more of New Zealand, he boarded the ferry boat at Lyttelton instead and travelled to Wellington. There he fell in with two soldiers, who, on being told that he wished to see some relatives in Auckland, paid his railway fare. They kept a friendly eye on the lad after arrival, and as far as they can gather lie has no relatives here. He was therefore handed over to the police for safe keeping, pending further information.
