THE HAIG COMPANY ABSORBED. Received May 19, 1.10 a.m. London, May 10. The Distillers' Company are holding an almost complete world monopoly of the production of grain whisky for blending. It has absorbed the John Haig Company, of which Field-Marshal Haig and bin soldier brothers are the chief shareholders. The purchase price is nearly a quarter of a million.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
