General Kolehak's forces are rapidly nearing the Volga and pursuing the; Bolsheviks. BLOODY BOLSHEVIKS, GRAVEDIGGEE'S GRUESOME STORY. Received May 18, 5.5 p.m. London, May 8. Advices from Ekaterinodar, in the Kuban province of Transcaucasia, state that I the gravedigger at Paitigorsk, where generals and ex-Ministers, including Kussky and Dcitrieff, were massacred during the Bolshevik regime, narrated how he was awakened midnight by Red Guards carrying naked swords, and ordered to accompany them to a large grave where 35 prisoners, old and young, were ordered to bare their necks and kneel. The leader commanded his followers to begin from the left. Five Red Guards proceeded to carry out the execution in a leasurely manner, like butchers chopping meat, often missing the neck and slashing the face. Some of the victims fell outside the grave and were kicked in, When the work was finished, the Red Guards lit cigarettes and laughed and jested, while groans were audible beneath the earth as the grave was filled in. The I Soviet commissaries are deserting, but the Chinese, Lettish, and Magyar merI cenaries are resisting desperately. The other forces are melting away, and a Bolshevik collapse is foreshadowed. General Koltchak expects to reach Mobcow in three months. New York, May 9. The New York Times' Washington correspondent says the State Department has received advice saying that the Archangel Government recognised the Omsk Government as the supreme authority in Russia.
