NEW PLYMOUTH v. INGLEWOOD.

The New Plymouth Club played their first inter-club match of the season at the Waiwakaiho Links on Thursday, when they defeated Inglewood by six games to one, one match finishing all square.- The following were the results ™ ew , pl y mouth - being mentioned first:F. S. Johns beat R. Gudgeon, 4 up and 3; W. H, Wood beat R. Darlow, 3 up and 2; Dr. Wade beat P. O'Carroll, 6 up and 5; A. S. Hasell beat O. O'Carroll i up and 2; J. Milne and J. Johnston! all square; G. M. Kebbell lost to A. E. Surrey, 5 down and 4; A. Smith beat W Marshall, 4 up and 3; H. P. Bagley beat J. Wmfield, 8 up and 6. To-morrow a men's foursome will be played, in which low handicap players must take long handicap members as partners.

Ou June 3 a team from the local club will visit Hawera. All members able to go are requested to communicate with the secretary.
