The nurse's report for the month of April wag as follows:—Now earn' babies under care 108, solely breast-fed 38, partially breast-fed 28, artificiallyfed 42, visits to homes 312, mothen preparing milk in homes 70, mothen shown how to make milk 7, visitor* to rooms 30, mothers visiting rooms 'MO, babies brought to rooms 137. The car committee reported that delivery had been taken of the ear, which had been tested by Mr. Wheeler, Who reported it to be in perfect running order. The nurse was regularly using the car The problem of the cleaning of the ear had Itcen solved, and the committee desire to express their sincere thanks to Messrs Newton King, Derby and Q0.,. Spedding and Stainton, A. Smith, pi Gibson, Ben and Snelling, and Woolridge for generously undertaking to have the car cleaned month about, fiee of cost. The committee also wish to' place on record their appreciation of the action of the Laborers' Union, who had kindlr donated, two cases of benzine, and to Messrs Burgess Fraser, who had offered to supply benzine at cost price and lift: for the nurse. , The report of the entertainment comi» mittco was received and adopted. ,• It was unanimously agreed that Nurse. Williams should have one month's holi« 1 day from June 1, the Plunket Booms,to be closed, but Miss Stanford kindly offered to render help to any mother* who should need it.

Tlie resignation of the honorary secretary, owing to her departure for England, was read and accepted with.regret. The president spoke of the sp cmdid work dofne by Mr*. Sidney Allen during her term of office, and a vote of thanks was passed. Mijs. Allen thanked the members, and wished the society all prosperity and progress. Mrs. Russell Standish is to bo asked' to accept the secretaryship. Mrs. Blanchard's resignation was also accepted with regret. It was decided that Nurse Williams be informed that she might, when seeded, have the use of the Flunket ear on Sundays for purposes other than professional, as it was considered that it would possibly help to give the nurse some pleasure, and keep her in good health if she were allowed this privilege. The sofciety wishes to acknowledge the receipt of the following subscriptions, and to make known to all member* that subscriptions are now due:—Mrs. Browne £l, Mrs. F. Rendle ss, Mrs. E. M. Giddy Gs, Mrs. Hooper £l.
