A NEW SOVIET CALENDAR. Helsingfors, May 3. The Russian Soviet Government has instituted a new calendar year, which begins on the date of the outbreak of the revolution. All religious festivals ire abolished and the year consists of !30 working days.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. CLOSING OF FINNISH FRONTIER. London, May 3. Reports from Helsingfors state that the Bolsheviks have closed the R.ussoFinnish frontier. The Finnish Government has taken similar steps. The Finnish naval Hag was hoisted for the first time to-day.
