.; TRANSPORT KIA ORA. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchureh, Last Night. The transport Kia Ora will reach, Lyttelton harbor about 8 p.m., but her. draft will not disembark before Friday morning. CASES OF INFLUENZA ON (BOARD. Christchurdh, last Night. The Kia Ora, with a large draft of troops, arrived in the stream at Lyttelton at 5.30 this evening. The port health oilicer, on boarding the vessel, discovered one cuau of influenza among the crew, in addition to several soldiers in the convalescent stage. The ship will not be released from quarantine before iFrldar morning. It is deemed likely that PUS*. ent, contacts, and convalescents will be removed to Quail Island. Permission lias been given, to Defence officers, under certain restrictions, to board the vessel to-morrow and prepare for tho disent» barkation of troops. The district anjjt port health officer will confer in tb» morning as to what further stop* shaft be taken in regard to the outbreak of influenza aboard, Napier, Last Night. There was a mild case of influenza OS ; the Echo to-day, and the vessel w*s isolated in the roadstead for 48 hours. j THE PRICE OF FLOUR. : Dunedin, Last Night. Local millers have decided to reduce | the price of flour from £ls to £l4 10s j per ton. It is understood the reduction ; is due to the cutting tactics of one or | two millers. .THE GREEN ISLAND TROUBLE, v Dunedin, Last Night The deadlock between the Green Island miners and the owners continues. At, a meeting last night the miners decided to adhere to their previous decision not to take any action till a conference W*s granted by the employers. Some of the men are now working in other mines. WESTPORT HARBOR BOARD. Westport, Last Night. At the Westport Harbor Board's meeting to-day objection was taken by the two elected members representing town and county respectively to proceeding with the election of a chairmen until the Government had made the expected fresh appointment of a nominee member or members. A motion in that direction was defeated. Mr. W. T. Slee, the retiring chairman, was re-elected on a majority vote of four to three. .
