CANTERBURY PRODUCE MARKET. Chrlstcburcli, May <•■ The principal feature of the grain market for some days past hut been the tush on the part of some forward sellers of oals to cover their sales. Demand was keen for a few days, but the position la now easier. The nominal price of oats at country stations lias advanced, but apparently It Is not yet sufficient to Induce farmers to sell any more freely than they havo done hitherto. A «rade Cartons are now quoted at 3s Od to 3s lod per bushel at country stations, and B grade at 3s Od to 3s Bd. Good Algerians are also In keen demand at up to 3a Cd per bushel, and Danish are north 3s 3d to 3s fill. Oatsheaf chaff has also advanced In sympathy with oats, and Is now worth £5 to £5 5s per ton at country stations. Linseed Is firmer, and the quotation Is £ls 7s Od to £ls 10s per ton at country stations. White clover and cocksfoot are still slow of sale. Cow grass Is worth lid and Is Id per lb.
