MASSACRE OF POLES, BY BOLSHEVIKS. Warsaw, April 23. The Bolsheviks shot every man in both villages, returned to Meswicz, and condemned the entire population to death by starvation. They slew the children at the local Polish college, and bayonetted many farmers and refugees. Reports from Homel state that a pogrom occurred early in April. Refugees from Pinsk arrived in a train bearing a notice "Kill the Jews and save Russia." The Armenian Red Guards took the notice literally and began a massacre Bohhevik newspapers say that 2000 were killed, but the escapees say that the number was between 10,000 and 50,000.—Aus. N.Z.
