FOOTBALL.
NEW ZEALANDERS AT HOME. Received May 3, 1.30 a.m. London, April 22 (delayed). At Camborne the New Zealand Rugby team beat Cornwall by U to 3. At Bristol the New Zealanders from Codford beat Bristol by 10 to, 8.
There was a good attendance of members at th« meeting of the Star Football Club on Wednesday evening. Mr. A. L. Humphries presided. A vote of condolence was passed in the usual manner with the relatives of those members who had been killed at the front and with one who died during the epidemic. The subscriptions were fixed at 2s Gd for playing members and 5s for honorary members. Mr. A, Pearce was elected club captain for the season, Mr. J. A. Clarke secretary, and Mr. P. Sims junior oecretary. The opening day was fixed for July 8. Saturday was fixed for playing for the senior team and Thursday for the juniors. A meeting of the management committee will be held on Wednesday next, and prospects are considered good for forming a Saturday junior team.
