CUSTOMS REVENUE.

APRIL A RECORD FOR THE PORT. The Customs revenue for the port of New Plymouth was greater for the month of April just ended than for any previous month. The previous record (December last) was exceeded by £O2B 17s 3d. The beer duty also showed a substantial increase. The increase in Customs revenue last month, when compared with the figures for April last year was £2377. A proportion of the increase was derived through the bonded warehouse which was opened in Hawera last September. The figures for April supplied by the Collector (Mr. R. B. D.
