AN OFFICIAL WELCOME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Thirty-seven nurses lately returned by the Tainui, and,' as this was the largest body of nurses yet returned by one ship, occasion was taken to accord a welcome to them, and to as many as could be assembled of the nurses who came by earlier transports, The party was entertained by Sir James Allen and Ministers of the Crown at Bellamy's. Sir J. Allen offered the nurses a hearty welcome, and tendered them the thanks of the whole country for the splendid work done in the war. Miss McLean, Matron-in-ChieE of the Nursing Service, replied, expressing the nurses' appreciation of the fact that the New Zealand Government had allowed them to go and nurse their own sick and wounded,
