GERMANY.

, BERLIN FACED WITH FAMINE. ANTI-SPARTACIST OPERATIONS. Paris, April 28. It is reported that Berlin is faced with a meat famine. The Government's stocks of frozen meat, which amounted to three million pounds in January, are now exhausted, and it is impossible to maintain even one-third of the usual ration. The only satisfactory feature of the serious food situation is that the ' potato supply is expected to be sufficient until June. Herr Noske has taken over command of the Prussian, Bavarian and Wurtemburg troops, who are operating against the Bavarian Spartacists. Herr Noske is arranging the campaign on a comprehensive scale, including a plan to capture Munich.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
