FORCED TO FIGHT. TROOPS WAITING TO TURN ON BOLSHEVIKS, Received April 27, 11.49 p.m. Copenhagen, April 20. A Bolshevik paftro!, captured without a fight, informed the Ukrainians that a large portion of the Soviet Army wishes to join them against the Bolsheviks. THE MARRIAGE LAWS'. A BOLSHEVIST STATESMAN'S VERSION. Received April 20, 5.5 p.m. London, April 24. The Daily Chronicle's Stockholm corr?sj;oudent interviewed a Bolshevist statesman, who protested against the grotesque misrepresentation by hostile newspapers regarding Lenin's marriage laws. Celibacy has been abolished as ,i means towards class equality. Every woman attaining the age of IS yeais and every man reaching 20 is compelled to register, and is expected to marry within s'-x ii'.'Vi/tbs, being subsequently twice warned before a coercive marriage. Two lovers wishing to marry present themselves before the People's Commissary, who witness the marriage. A similar proceeding will ensiu*e separation, after which both parties are expected to contract a fresh union within six mouths. The, Commissary decides upon t!ie custody of the children. He stated that the Government's encouragement of healthy social intercourse is resulting in the abolition o: the caste spirit. THE ALUES' CAMPAIGN. Received April 27, 5.5 p.m. London, April 22. British North Russian official: In the operations on Lake Vigozero the enemy lost ninety-eight killed and eighty-Wo prisonered, also two field guns and much ammunition and material.
