AT STRATFORD. : (From Our Own Correspondent.) Anzac Day was kept in Stratford in perfect weather. In the afternoon a procession of returned soldiers, territorials, and cadets, under the control of Sec.-Lieuts. E. Young and T. Richardson, marched from the Post Office to the Town Hall, where a service was Juld. i The attendance of the publio was sot so good as the occasion merited. The Mayor presided, and readings, addresses, etc., were delivered by the Revs, a W. Howard, R. B. Tinsley, and J. D. Milrin and Mr. B. Sturm (Salvation Army), while the choir sang several hymns. In this connection, it should be mentioned that the Roll of Honor photograph* of soldiers of this district who have fallen in the war are placed in tha corridor of the Municipal Building, and alio . received attention. At intervals flu ' wreaths were hung, interlaced with fes* toon 9 of white and purple ribbons. The idea was that of the Mayor and Mrs. McMillan, who received willing assistance during the previous evening from several helpers, the school and. others having secured the flowers during the day. In the morning the members of the Women's National Reserve paid a visit to the Kopuataina Cemetery and placed wreaths and other emblems on the graves of the soldiers buried there. »
