SUDDEN DEATH WHILE RIDING.
THE INQUEST. An inquest was held at Waitaanga yesterday afternoon by Mr. Laird, of Taumavumii, concerning the death of Mr.. A. Hag-mson, of Fitzroy, who also had a large holding at Waitaanga. From the evidence it appeared that the deceased was riding to his farm on Wednesday, and when about two miles distant therefrom he had a seizure. Dr. Cheesnvan, who examined the body, was of opinion that Hagenson was dead when he fell oil' the horse. The body was discovered by a child, and subsequently taken to a wliare in the vicinity. Mr. Frank Hagenson, a son of the deceased, was absent from the farm, but returned later in the day, to hear the sad news. A verdict was returned in accord with the medical testimony. The remains were brought to Fitzroy last night, via Whangttmomona and Strata ford. Mr. Hagenson, who was about 75 years of age, oame to the Dominion from Sweden about fifty years ago, and has led a very active life here. For many years lie was in the Dannevivke district, and then brought his family to reside at Fitzroy.
