HARBOR BOARD ELECTIONS.

LABOR'S PROGRAMME. "A special meeting of the New Plymouth branch of the Ltfcor Party was held on Wednesday evening. The following platform in connection with the Harbor Board election was adopted: (a) To support the extension and improvement of the harbor, this being essential to the development of the Taranaki Province and the Dominion. (b) To insist on the sanctity'of human life and limb, and to this end to watch over the working conditions, so that all safeguards against accidents, including better lighting conditions, and. everything necessary for the physical protection of the worker shall be attended to. (c) To move that a comm'itte" be set up to report on the practicability and advisability of using the Harbor Board's reserves for the purpose of a .garden suburb, and v to co-operate with the New Plymouth Borough Council in the matter. The platform for' the Hospital Board will be printed and dist-fbuted during the next few days. I Meetings have been arranged at [which Labor candidates will Address the public, at Vogeltown, Frankleigh Park, Westown, and New Plymouth. The dates and times of the meetings will be advertised.
