The New Zealand team also beat Cardiff by 23 to 3.—Aus.-N Z. Cable Assn DETAILS OF THE GAMES. Received April 23, 10.13 p.m. London, April 19. Fifteen thousand attended the Rugby match at Twickenham l , Sir Douglas Haig accompanied the King, who shook hands with the players. Play was even in the first half. The Frenchmen opened the scoring with a try. Singe shortly afterwards equalised matters, Stohr's kick at goal failing. In the second hnlf the New Zealanders quickly assumed and maintained the upper hand. Hazel!, West, Killick, Brown, and Ford scored tries, Ryan converting the last one. The New Zealanders' superb condition and sounder knowledge of the game gave them a distinct advantage—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
NEW ZEALANDERS CONGRATULATED BY KING. Received April 24, 1.20 a.m. < London, April 10. Before the commencement of the Rugby match at Twickenham, the King congratulated the New Zealanders on whining the inter-services tournament, and handed the cup to Ryan, captain of the team.—Aus.-N.Z.
