FEATUHK OF ENGLISH CELEBHATIONS. Received April 23, 5J5 p.m. London, April 18. A feature pf Anzac Day will be a pilgrimage to the graves of Australian and New Zealand soldiers in the United Kingdom. The organisers hope to place flowers on every grave.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. APPEAL PKOM ACTING PRIME MINISTER. Wellington, Last Night. The following appeal has been issued by the Acting Prime Minister:—The Government has decided that April 25 (An/.ae Day* should be observed by Government departments as a close holiday in order that the general public •may suitably recognise the memorable occasion. I should be glad if mayors and heads of other local authorities concerned will arrange for the day to be observed as a holiday.

The arrangements in connection with Anzaa Day are now practically completed. There will be two services simultaneously in the afternoon, at Everybody's Theatre and the People's Picture Palace, beginning at 2 45. The Rev. A. 0. Seivewright will preside at Everybody's, Rev. F. G. Hurvie taking the lesson* and prayers and the Rev. J, Napier Milne making the address. At the People's the Rev. 0. BlundeU will preside, Rev. H. L. Richards lessons' and prayer*, and Ven. Archdeacon Evans the HiMrcssi A special form of service will he printed and used at each hall The School Cadets and Bov Scouts will parade at the Coronation Hall at 2.15 p.m., and the Returned Soldiers an.l Veterans will join the procession at Liardet Street corner at 2.30, proceeding to the two halls as arranged. The Citizens' Band will head th; procession, Major Shepherd acting as marshal.
