AN ALLIANCE OF VULTURES. London, April 16. The Constantinople correspondent of the Morning Post states that the examination of the Grand Vizier, Prince Said, and Halim Pasha, revealed that Germany, Austria, and Turkey entered into an offensive and defensive alliance on July 10, 1914, which was consummated in a treaty on August 1. Further treaties, dealing with the division of the spoil were signed after Britain's entry.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
