THE NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.

Present indications point towards a revival of the old times as far as the Natiotnal Dairy Show of Palmerston North is concerned. The various cheese and butter entries are ocnsiderably in excess of last year and the" championshins will be looked forward to with keen interest. A very handsome trophy has been donated for the apple championship—a straight out win. Palmcrston North is made the occasion for the meeting of the various bodies, and efforts are made to provide accommodation for all applicants The everpopular hunting events and dog trials are well in evidence and football patrons are to have the stirring WanganuiTe Ante college fixture. The purebred cattle exhibition on the second and third •days of the show will present an opportunity for the dairy farmers and others to procure animals to suit their requirements. The Manawatu poultry championship will also be a feature of the show and numerous special prizes adorn their schedule, one being a s*pocial peace championship certificate to celebrate the "healing of the breach in the fancy." Amateur photographers are also well catered for. General entries close June 2 and this includes the Manawatu Poultry Association's section.
