INGLEWOOD.

PLUNTLET SOCIETY MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent). The annual meeting- of the Plunket Society was held at the Scout Hall on Wednesday last. The secretary's report alluded to the formation of the branch iu May, 1917, hut stated that it was not till May 31, 1918, that Nurse Wake paid her first visit to luglewood. Fluids had been raised by euchre parties, and the donors of prizes were thanked for their contributions. The nurse reporti-u every month. The number of babies brought to the office had increased so rapidly iiiat her time was fuily occupied. Thanks were accorded to Mr. Eagar, Mr. W. Stephens, Mr. P. Spurdle, also to Miss Henry and the gentlemen who acted as Ms.C. at the dances. The balance-sheet showed the income amounted to £55 17s 9d and expenditure £44 2s, leaving a credit balance of £ll las 9d.

The. report and balance-sheet were adopted.

The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. T. Drake; vice-presi-dents, Mesdaines Spurdle and Parli; committee, all the old members together with Mesdames Horner, Partridge and Henderson; secretary, Mrs. J. Sutherland.

It was decided to hold a euchre pa.'f.y and dance on April 24. The nurse's report stated that the number of babies on the books was 17, adults visits to office 109, babies brought to office 78, visits to homes 133, sale of feeding books 8.
