Christchurch, April 16 The Canterbury A and P Association to-day decided to urge the Government to prohibit the importation of North Island cattle, in view of the appearance of Queensland tick, RAILWAYMEN'S GRIEVANCES. Greymouth, April 17. At a largely attended meeting of the Grey branch of the A.S.RJS., Mr. Hamilton, president, addressed the members on the proposals submitted by the department. At the conclusion, a number of questions were asked, and a vote of no confidence in the president and the council was carried.
