ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MUTILATED IN SHAFTING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. OliTistolmrch, Last Night. Sydney Reed, a married man, aged 55 years, with six children, was caught in the shafting while attaching a belt at the Woolston Glue Works last evening, and his body was found half an hour after lying in a vat below the shaft by the night engineer. The body was stripped of clothing and both legs were torn off below the knees and his right arm below the elbow was also torn off.
