HORSE FATALLY INJURED. Melbourne, April 15, Nanna, a member of Mr. Kemball's team, was fatally injured while spelling at Bacchus Marsh. —Aus. N.Z. Cable Association.
T.J.C. DISTRICT COMMITTEE. A meeting of the District Committee of the Taranaki Jockey Club was held last night. Present: Messrs L A. Nolan (chair), G. Eraser, S. Pitt, R. W. Sole, W. J. Morrison, H. Washer, B. H. Chaney, and J. Gray. Apologies were received from E. S. Blundell and A. Good. Trainers' licenses were issued to H. E. Loach and E. J- Murtagh, subject to Auckland bavins' no objection. A conditional jockey's license was granted to X. K. McDonell- Apprentice jockey's license, A. Rutherford- Gentlemen riders' certificates to C. P. Crowley and J. T. Wade.
A transfer of the apprenticeship of T. Peina to Rangi Hikaka was approved.
