JERSEY BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION.
A well attended meeting of the members of the North Taranaki Branch of tlie N.Z. Jersey Cattle Breeders' Association was held at the office of the secretary, Mr K. Griffiths, on Saturday. It was decided that the branch entertain visiting members of the Association, attending the annual meeting on the 12th June, at a smoke concert, and that if possible a trip to the mountain be arranged. Messrs Lysons, Fairbrother and E Griffiths were appointed a committee to carry out the entertaining. A number of the members present, offered the use of their cars for this purpose. The Stratford branch very generously wrote offering to assist in entertaining the visitors, but the general opinion expressed was that the burden of entertaining should fall on the local branch. Some discussion took place on the motion of a member desiring that a remit be sent to the' annual meetin;; urging the council to make a rule preventing animals exhibited at shows being clipped, but after some discussion the matter was allowed to drop.
