GREAT DESTITUTION. ORPHANS RUNNING WILD. Received April 12, 5.5 p.m. London, April 9. Mr. William Ward, international secretary of the Brotherhood movement, has returned from Serbia. He states that 240,000 Serbians are destitute. Orphans between seven and fourteen are running wild. There is a great deal of starvation. Over six hundred school teachers were killed.

WAR DECLARED ON SERBIA. HELP FROM ALLIES WANTED. Received April 13, 5.5 p.m. Rome, April 11. Advices from Vienna, via Fiume, reiterate that the Bolsheviks have declared war on Serbia, and that martial law has been declared in Serbia, which is demanding help from the Allies.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
