ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

FATAL REVOLVER ACCIDENT. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wellington, April 11. Herekiah Walter Joines Turner, a fruit hawker, aged 33, was shot dead in the Midland billiard saloon, Manners Street, at 7 o'clock last night. Deceased and two other men went into tjie lavatory, and after some whiskey had been drunk, one of them produced a loaded revolver which all three examined. Suddenly the weapon went off and n bullet entered the upper portion of Turner's right cheek and penetrated his brain. Death was instantaneous. Turner's companions immediately left the premises, but one soon returned and from him the police obtained the above particulars. Deecased leaves a widow and one child.
