THE MOULD INQUIRY.
LIGHT ON ANOTHER, DISAP- ! PEARANCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, April 10. Incidental reference was made during the Mould inquiry to someone named Burns, who was supposed to have disappeared from the Maori on the night of January 27th. Some light was thrown on the matter by a statement made to the Dunedin police on January 29 by T. 11. Jones, who reported that he was a passenger on the Maori on January '27, and that another passenger, named Jack Russell Burn, asked him what would happen if a fellow fell overboard. He further stated that both of thetti returned to their cabin, after which Burns went out again, and that was the last Jones saw of him. The address of Burns' parents was given as "Hereford Street, Christchurch."
